Federation of Woman Entrepreneurs' Associations of Nepal (FWEAN)
ederation of Woman Entrepreneurs Associations of Nepal (FWEAN) is a non profit organization which aims at representing the collective efforts of women entrepreneurs in the economic progress of the nation and decision making at national and international levels. FWEAN is the central body of Women Entrepreneurs Association of Nepal (WEAN) which was first established in 1989 in Lalitpur. Now 57 WEAN Chapters are associated with FWEAN and it looks at establishing subsidiary WEAN Chapters in all 77 districts of Nepal thus involving 10% of the 500,000 self employed women runningĀ Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Based in Kathmandu, FWEAN is a focal point for interaction not only with the government, but also the various national and international women’s organizations and stakeholders.
